The Institute for International Business and CIBER at University of Colorado Denver, together with the Lazaridis Institute for the Management of Technology Enterprises, are pleased to announce the:

2019 Junior Faculty and Doctoral Student Paper Development Workshop on International Entrepreneurship

This research workshop is designed to support paper development. It will begin with an introductory session led by senior IE scholars. Participants will then be divided into small teams of 2-3 participants, and each team will be led by a senior IE scholar. The senior scholar within each team will provide developmental feedback on each team members’ paper. The workshop will conclude with a panel session of IE scholars, and participants will be given the opportunity to ask questions of the panelist.

Workshop Objectives

  • Receive developmental feedback from senior international entrepreneurship (IE) scholars on an IE research paper.
  • Receive and give developmental feedback to colleagues on an IE research paper.
  • Meet and network with senior IE scholars and colleagues who share similar interests in IE.
  • To further improve the quality of IE research and attract junior scholars to IE.

Abstract Submission

To apply for this workshop, submit your abstract to Patricia McDougall-Covin at mcdougal@indiana.edu. Selection of workshop participants will be completed through a submission of extended abstracts. Abstracts may not exceed eight double-spaced pages. The deadline for submission of abstracts is March 2, 2019. Successful authors will be notified by April 8, and full papers are required by May 22.

Logistics and Registration

The workshop will be held on Sunday, June 23 at 12 p.m. until 5 p.m. at the site of the Academy of International Business annual meeting in Copenhagen, Denmark. This is the afternoon before the Pre-Conference Workshops so participants will be able to attend the Doctoral Consortium or the New Faculty Consortium as well.

Participants will be responsible for arranging and paying for their own travel and hotel accommodations. Registration fees and materials are provided at no cost to each participant by the workshop sponsor and co- sponsor.
