Lazaridis Institute Prize awarded at 2018 CAAA Annual Conference

The Canadian Academic Accounting Association (CAAA) recently held their annual conference where the first Lazaridis Institute Prize was awarded.

The winner of the 2018 Lazaridis Institute Prize is Kwangjin Lee (Michigan State University) for the paper "Social Media Disclosure and Analysts as Information Intermediaries."

Dongyoung Lee (McGill University) earned an Honourable Mention for "Technological Innovation, Voluntary Financial Disclosure, and Future Sales Growth".

The prize, which constitutes a plaque and $2,000, was awarded at the CAAA Awards Lunch at the Association's Annual Conference, on June 15. The winner also enjoys a complimentary registration to the 2019 Annual Conference.

The Lazaridis Institute Prize is awarded to the paper that, in the interpretation of the Prize Committee, best addresses issues relevant to technology companies in an accounting context.

Congratulations to both scholars from the Lazaridis Institute!
