Research Team Wins Lazaridis Institute's Best Paper Award For Entrepreneurship at 2019 EIBA Conference

The European International Business Academy (EIBA) announced the winner of the Lazaridis Institute’s Best Paper Award for Entrepreneurship during it’s annual conference, which took place December 13-15, 2019 in Leeds, UK.

Winning this year’s award was a research team consisting of Francesco Debellis, Carlotta Benedetti, and Alfredo De Massis, for their paper “Preservation or Exploitation: Family Values as a Source of Heterogeneity in the Origin of Family Firms’ Internationalization.” Based at the University of Bozen-Bolzano in Italy, the team was presented with a $1,500 prize and plaque during a gala dinner.  

Francesco is a postdoctoral researcher at the Centre for Family Business Management. Carlotta is a PhD student, and Alfredo De Massis is Professor of Entrepreneurship & Family Business and Director of the Centre for Family Business Management. He is also the Leader of the Entrepreneurship, Innovation & Management Cluster at the university.
