Lazaridis Institute hosted over 100 people at Startwell to celebrate the third cohort of the Lazaridis Scale-Up Program

On Oct. 25, the Lazaridis Institute hosted over 100 people at Startwell, in Toronto, for a keynote and networking opportunity. The event commenced to celebrate the third cohort of the Lazaridis Scale-Up Program. Managing Director Kim Morouney had the pleasure of introducing our keynote speaker, Michelle Slater, Head of Business Marketing at Twitter Canada. Michelle gave an insightful presentation on the four aspects of memorable marketing;

  1. Has a customer centric
  2. Answers why
  3. Is honest and authentic
  4. Creates an emotional connection
Followed by Michelle’s speech was an exciting announcement from Nora Bieberstein, the Innovative Partnerships Lead at RBC. Nora announced the new partnership with RBC to sponsor both the third and fourth cohort of the Scale-Up Program. This partnership is a representation of how organizations can come together to support growing Canadian tech companies and maintain strong talent in Canada.
